SANDY, Utah — A man was crushed by construction equipment in what Sandy police are calling a "tragic accident."
Police tell Fox 13 this happened just after 1 p.m. Sunday in the area of 1500 East and 11000 South.
A man in his 50s was helping to move a skid steer — a type of heavy equipment loader used to move material from one location to another — when he was crushed by the bucket, police said.
Despite attempts to save the man's life, police say he died from his injuries at a local hospital.
