SALT LAKE CITY — Tens of thousands of people are still without electricity after a downslope wind event in northern Utah earlier this week.
Rocky Mountain Power crews and linemen from its sister companies are working to repair more than 40,000 outages after heavy winds caused significant damage along the Wasatch Front.

"Supposedly, they've contacted people via their computers. Well, guess what? You need electricity for the modem to work. It's going to be a few days more. Are you kidding?" said Susan Makov, one of the people affected by the massive power outage.
