'Saddle Fire' near Midway grows to 200 acres; Juvenile suspect in custody

MIDWAY, Utah — A wildfire in the mountains north of Midway forced the evacuation of nine homes Tuesday afternoon.

As of 8 p.m., the "Saddle Fire" had grown to an estimated 200 acres and it is not contained.

A juvenile suspected of starting the fire and multiple others in the area recently has been apprehended by law enforcement.

Wasatch County Fire reports several homes in the upper Interlaken area of Midway were evacuated as a precaution.

"As you maybe aware, there have been numerous fires in the Interlaken and Dutch Hollow area in the last few days. The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office has been investigating the suspicious nature of these fires," a Facebook post from the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office said.
