HERRIMAN, Utah — At least one person has been injured following an incident at the Bingham Canyon Mine that prompted a response from Unified Fire Authority early Thursday.
First responders are currently at the Rio Tinto Kennecott site near West 12600 South and Bacchus Highway.
As of 7:30 a.m., one person was airlifted to the hospital, although information on the exact type of incident and the person's injuries have not been released.
