One person was hospitalized after being shot in South Salt Lake Saturday night.
Authorities responded to a report of shots fired at an apartment complex in the area of 854 Timbercreek Way just before 10:30 p.m.
A 44-year-old male victim was located and transported in critical condition to a local hospital.
Shortly after that, South Salt Lake Police located a person of interest, and believe there is no threat to the public.
An additional report of shots fired was reported in a similar area a few hours later.
When police responded to that area, they did not find any signs of a shooter or shooting.
Authorities do not believe the two to be related.
