SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Late Monday, police announced they had arrested the suspect believed to have shot and killed a 21-year-old man early Sunday.
Police say Roy Anthony Duran, 20, was taken into custody in connection to the murder of Isaiah Valerio. Duran turned himself into the Clearfield Police Department.
Officials say the shooting took place after an argument broke out around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning at 548 West 600 South.
When police arrived on scene, they found Valerio in critical condition. Paramedics and firefighters both administered aid, but Valerio ultimately died on scene.
Detectives determined Duran as the suspect after speaking with witnesses who said they had seen him fleeing.
Duran was considered armed and dangerous.
