LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON — Snow fell across much of northern Utah overnight Wednesday and into Thursday morning.
Heavier snow is falling in the mountains and that is prompting warnings about avalanches and slick roads.
SR 10 in Little Cottonwood Canyon is closed from mile marker 4 to mile marker 10 for avalanche control.
When roads are open, chains, 4-wheel-drive or approved traction devices will be required for all vehicles
There are avalanche warnings, and the Little Cottonwood Canyon backcountry is closed.
