WEST VALLEY CITY — Three suspects are in custody after a dangerous police chase through the the Salt Lake Valley early Friday morning.

West Valley City Police say they were able to locate a car that was believed to be involved in some high-end burglaries.

The car had been identified after a weeks-long investigation into the burglaries in West Valley.

Officers saw three people in the suspect car burglarize some cars overnight, but when they tried to stop the car, it took off.

The officers went after them, eventually spiking all of their tires.

That didn't stop the driver, who police identify as Kenneth Dunn, from continuing to drive out into Magna and eventually onto SR 201, going east in the westbound lanes.

"The way the driver was traveling along the 201 freeway without regard for the 201 freeway was very scary for us," Lt. Todd Gray with West Valley City Police said. "We wanted to get him off the street and that vehicle off the street."

Lt. Gray said the driver in the suspect vehicle intentionally rammed one UHP vehicle and a Unified Police Department patrol car before they were eventually able to stop the car and arrest three people inside.

Dunn, the suspected driver, was a wanted parole fugitive for firearms charges.

The other two suspects have been identified as Juan Rocha and Linda Tassone.

All three people in the car could now face multiple felony charges.

No one was hurt during the arrest.
