Unified Police have released a composite sketch of the person they say is responsible for attacking a woman in Little Cottonwood Canyon in late April.
Police said the assault occurred on Quarry Trail on the evening of April 29.
"[The victim] was approached from behind, struck with a stick and strangled. After yelling for help other hikers came to her aid and the assailant fled," a news release from UPD said.
Police described the suspect as a white male in his early 20s, about 6 feet tall, with a skinny build and long brown hair.
