A Utah firefighter died from cancer Sunday after a difficult battle, Unified Fire officials say.
Chris Cage was diagnosed with cancer attributed to his work responding to the 9-11 attacks 18 years ago.
Fire officials say Cage was surrounded by family when he passed away. He spent 31 years serving on the department and retired in September of 2016.
"You will be missed brother," the department wrote in an Instagram post:
