Multiple wildfires are burning Monday in Utah. Here is the latest information from officials with Utah Wildfire Information:

Veyo West Fire

  • Location: Near Veyo, Washington County (approx. 20 miles north-northwest of St. George)
  • Started/first reported: Monday 2:55 p.m.
  • Size: 50 acres
  • Structures are threatened; Evacuations ordered for the west side of Veyo
  • Road closures: S.R. 18 at milepost 20; Secondary roads west of S.R. 18 and north of Gunlock Road
  • Cause: Human-caused; Under investigation

Goshen Canyon Fire

  • Location: Southeast of Goshen
  • Started or first reported: Monday 2:15 p.m.
  • Estimated size: 215 acres; Forward progression halted
  • Structures are threatened; Two homes have been evacuated
  • Cause under investigation

Abbott Fire

  • Location: Duchesne County
  • Started/first reported: Monday 11:30 a.m.
  • Size: 100 acres
  • No structures threatened
  • Cause: Lightning

Allen Draw Fire

  • Location: Northeast of Vernal
  • Started/first reported: Monday 5:26 p.m.
  • Size: 50-60 acres
  • One structure threatened
  • Cause: Unkown

Big Summit Fire

  • Location: Eastern Nevada, 17 miles northeast of Panaca; Has spread into Iron County, Utah
  • Started/first reported: Monday 10:45 a.m.
  • Size: 1,734 acres
  • Cause: Unknown
