DRAPER, Utah — Most inmates at the Utah State Prison facility in Draper now have the option to visit with their loved ones via video conferencing.

Video visiting sessions are now available to inmates who are not in the prison's maximum security (Uintas) facility.

"We are still working on technical issues within maximum security, but we remain hopeful that in the coming weeks we will be able to roll out video visiting there as well," a Facebook post from the Utah Department of Corrections says.

UDC is also working to make video visiting available for inmates at the Central Utah Correctional Facility in Gunnison in the coming weeks.

Inmates are allowed one video visit session per scheduled day. The sessions must be scheduled at least two business days in advance with a pre-approved visitor.
