WEBER COUNTY, Utah — A warrant has been issued in Weber County for the arrest of 18-year-old Jovani Hernandez. He is wanted for Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Restricted Person and Felony Discharge of a Firearm.

Jovan and his girlfriend Corinne Whaley, 17, are wanted in relation to a shooting that occurred earlier this month.

On the evening of June 7, 2020, Roy City Police were dispatched to the area of 4000 S and 2275 W on reports of a weapons disturbance.

Investigators gathered that Hernandez was in the possession of a firearm and allegedly fired at least two shots at another male during an argument. Officials say none of the rounds struck the victim but Hernandez and Whaley, who was present for the argument, both fled the scene.

Officers have not been able to locate Hernandez or Whaley. Investigators do not believe the Whaley was taken against her will, but since she is a juvenile and her whereabouts are unknown, she has been reported as missing.

Whaley is believed to still be in the company of Hernandez who is considered armed and dangerous.

The warrant for Hernandez was issued on Wednesday, June 17, by the 2nd District Court in Weber County.

Hernandez is described as 5 feet 7 inches and weighs 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Whaley is described as 5 feet 5 inches weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
