WEST HAVEN, Utah — A 6-year-old child is in the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a truck in West Haven.
At 6:45 p.m., a deputy in the area responded to reports of a child being struck by a vehicle in the area of 2550 South between 2700 West and 2300 South. Upon arrival, they rendered emergency aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation until medical crews arrived.
The child was transported to the hospital; as of 9:30 p.m., they remain in critical condition.
Weber Metro CRASH Team are assisting with the investigation. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
