Oreo celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month with limited edition rainbow cookies

Posted at 1:32 PM, Oct 09, 2020

OREO has created limited edition rainbow cookies to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month; but instead of being sold, the cookies will be given away to fans for free.

To special cookies are the result of a partnership between OREO and PFLAG, which started a #ProudParent campaign to promote the importance of supportive families in LGBTQ+ acceptance.

The colors of the special cookies correspond to the Pride flag with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink creme filling.

Starting Friday, fans can get the cookies by sharing a photo on social media showing what "allyship means to them." All posts need to include the hashtags #ProudParent and #Giveaway to be considered.

According to the organization's website, PFLAG is the largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people, their parents and families, and allies.
