WEST VALLEY CITY — West Valley City Police are on scene investigating a shooting in the 6400 block of South Wakefield Way.
Officers discovered a deceased male laying in the middle of an intersection with a gunshot wound Wednesday evening. Officers attempted CPR but were unsuccessful on saving the 20-year-old male who has yet to be identified.
According to Deputy Chief Kent Stoke, reports came in that another vehicle may have been involved and dumped the body in the street.

Debbie Graves has lived in the area for four years and is shocked that this could happen in her neighborhood.
“Overwhelmed actually. its scary that this would happen in your neighborhood which we thought was quiet," Graves said.
