SALT LAKE CITY — It’s “Work for us Wednesday,” and there are a couple of online job fairs you need to know about.

Each week, FOX 13 highlights new job opportunities to help Utahns get back to work.

While Utah's unemployment rate is among the best in the country, there are still more than 66,000 people here looking for work.

The Department of Workforce Services will host another virtual job fair Thursday.

About 100 employers are expected to take part with more than a thousand positions available.

One of the companies participating in Thursday's job fair is HEROIC Cybersecurity.

They have 21 openings, including positions in software development, design and enterprise sales.

"The main one that we're looking for right now is a recruiter, someone that can help find us more employees. We expect to hire around 200 people over the next year here in Utah or around Utah," said HEROIC Cybersecurity CEO Chad Bennett. "We're a remote-first company, so we hire from all over the country, but we try to focus on Utah."

Bennett told us if you're self-motivated and can finish projects on time, you'd be a great fit for the company. If you feel underqualified, don't let it stop you from applying.

"The reality is, there's only a couple core positions that need that expertise, but we need a team around those people," Bennett said.

There are full-time, part-time and telework jobs open across a variety of industries.

Thursday’s job fair is happening from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

It’s free, but you do need to register.

The department is also offering an online workshop Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. to help you prepare.

Best Buy is hiring for the holidays.

It will host job fairs at all its locations Thursday and Friday from noon to 7:00 p.m.
