WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — It is “Work for us Wednesday” and Utah employers have jobs to fill.

Each week, FOX 13 highlights job openings across the state.

Because of the coronavirus, it’s just not safe to interview people in person right now.

So, a different kind of job fair is being offered Wednesday afternoon in West Valley City.

It’s a drive-thru job fair which allows job seekers to connect with companies in the comfort of their car.

It’ll happen at the parking of ResourceMFG and Prologistix.

The staffing company is looking for workers to fill 150 positions including manufacturing, production line assembly, welders and maintenance technicians.

The agency represents 64 clients who offer temporary, temp-to-hire and direct-hire positions.

“Currently, with everyone shifting to online retail and purchasing, warehouse jobs and the logistics sector, just the job postings are up 2 ½ times over previous years,” said Bryce Murray, business development manager with resourceMFG. “Very high demand in that area.”

“We specialize in warehouse and manufacturing positions,” added Operations Manager Keri Golden-Samora. “We have jobs available from $14-$18 an hour with all ranges of skill level and all different types of shifts. We pretty much have something out there for everyone.”

The drive thru job fair begins at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at 2115 South 3600 West in West Valley City.

You can pre-register on the agency’s website and start the application process.

Just bring in a smart phone or a tablet and two forms of ID.

Be prepared to be interviewed right there on the spot – right in your car.

You’ll have to wear a face mask!
