Open Enrollment ends Dec. 15, 2020 so it's time to start thinking about your health care coverage for the New Year! SelectHealth and Fox13 are making it easy to sign up for a new plan or get your questions answered by hosting a phone drive all day on Dec. 2, 2020 where experts from SelectHealth will be standing by to answer your questions.

We got a sneak peek of the most common questions from Heidi Castaneda, Small Employer and Individual Sales Director with SelectHealth.

Is there anything we should know about 2021 SelectHealth plan offerings?

"Yes! We’re excited to share our new and expanded benefits for 2021 that will continue to help our members live the healthiest lives possible:
oWellness Rewards Programs – Members on an Individual plan are eligible to receive up to $240 per person, or $580 per family per year, to use toward a gym membership at participating facilities. Members who do not have a gym membership can also get the reimbursement by taking 7,000+ steps a day!"

"Members can also take advantage of these features:
o Fitness Discounts: Low gym membership rates through our sponsored fitness club network; Free one-week trial gym membership; More than 12,000 participating clubs nationally
**Note: Eligible participants must be 18 years or older, create an online account at selecthealth.org, and complete the Johnson & Johnson online health assessment. The maximum reimbursement a family can receive per year is $580.
o Intermountain Connect Care is now $0 out-of-pocket costs on ALL Individual plans. This means you can speak to a provider online—all from the comfort of your own home.
o Choose from more first-dollar coverage options—this means you’ll only pay a copay (before deductible) for visits to primary, secondary, mental health, and urgent care providers.
o Preventive prescriptions covered before deductible on ALL Individual plans
o We've expanded our lower-cost SelectHealth Value network into four new counties across the Wasatch Front: Box Elder, Morgan, Summit, and Wasatch. If you're living in one of these counties, you may be able to find an even more affordable plan this year.

I’ve heard that some insurance carriers won’t have access to Intermountain Healthcare, is this true?

"Yes. There are some areas of Utah (including Utah County) where the full Intermountain network may not be offered on other insurance plans. If you have an existing Intermountain provider, or if you want to continue to receive access to Intermountain facilities, we recommend shopping our SelectHealth plans for 2021."

Heidi told us that even beyond our answer drive on Dec. 2, SelectHealth's Answer Team is happy to answer your questions, even if English isn't your first language. Spanish-speaking experts are also standing by.
