For the past six years, families or individuals in our communities have been getting Cars for Christmas, courtesy of Master Muffler Shops.

To date, about 65 cars have been given away. And each one has made a big difference in someone's life.

That's the case for single mom Jennifer Gibson and her four-year-old daughter Ella. They've gone through a lot recently. Jennifer has a history of domestic violence and past drug addiction.

But with the help of Odyssey House, Jennifer's been clean and sober for more than a year now. They're really going places, but it's hard to get there if you don't have transportation.

Now they do!

The Master Muffler team, along with some of their detail and body shop friends have been working on the Toyota for a few weeks, getting it in tip-top shape. It was stocked with gifts and groceries too! And the first tank of gas was also on the house.

Jennifer says the car means a great deal to her, getting her to job interviews and doctor's appointments. The gift of wheels will also help strengthen her resolve to complete the Odyssey Treatment Program. You can learn more about that at odysseyhouse.org.
