USANA Kids Eats is working hard to keep kids from going hungry

and last updated

USANA Kids Eat pack and distribute over 800 backpacks of food every weekend to help kids make it to Monday with food. They provide backpacks to schools from Ogden to Herriman.

Seven meals are in each backpack, which means up to 5600 meals are provided each week.

Now with the pandemic, they're providing more than 3000 larger bags of food to help kids have something to eat.

In Utah, one in five Utah kids goes home to insufficient or no food every day. 56,000 children qualify for free or reduced-price school lunches and require weekend food aid.

USANA Kids Eat is working to change that. The 2020 goals is to provide 1,000 backpacks a week.

They're asking for help. Businesses can sponsor a school and individuals can donate as well.
