Victim stabbed at Pioneer Park; suspect in custody

SALT LAKE CITY — A suspect is in custody after allegedly stabbing a man following a fight at Pioneer Park on Wednesday.

Salt Lake City police said the 65-year-old victim suffered at least one stab wound and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, identified as Nathaniel Woody, 49, was taken into custody shortly after the fight which occurred at 12:16 p.m.

Woody was taken to the Salt Lake County Metro Jail and faces one count of Aggravated Assault.
