SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake County Animal Services will hold an event Friday where you can microchip your dog or cat for free.
The event will take place between 2-5 p.m. at the facility at 511 W 3900 S in Salt Lake City.
All pets in the county are eligible for the free microchip and free lifetime registration. No appointments are necessary, but pet owners must bring current rabies documentation and proof of spay or neuter.
Dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers.
Masks are required for owners who bring in pets, and those who feel sick are asked not to attend the event.
