SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Those heading to the mountains Friday may want to give themselves some extra time.
All lanes of Guardsman Pass just above the Montage have been closed after a dump truck rolled over, trapping the driver.
Officials asked vehicles to avoid the area following the accident which occurred around 3 p.m. The shutdown may last longer than expected due to the clean-up.
"There is asphalt covering part of the roadway as well as an oil and fuel spill which is going to have that road closed for bit until it can be fully cleaned up." said UHP Trooper Mikki Vargas.
The condition of the driver is unknown.
UHP is investigating the accident.
