EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah — After receiving hundreds of submissions and narrowing the choices down with an online vote, seven names have been chosen for Eagle Mountain City's snowplows.
Last Monday, the city opened up an online voting form to allow residents and others to vote on a selection of 20 names. The week prior, the city asked for suggestions and received hundreds of them.
The idea was inspired by Scotland's national fleet of plows, which went viral for their creative names.
The names that won are:
- Plowy
- Plowasaurus Rex
- Snow Way Jose
- Slush Puppy
- Blizzard Wizard
- Old Salty
- Scrapes of Wrath
And not only will the plows have names, but those names will be placed somewhere on the trucks "as soon as possible," the city wrote in an email.
