SALT LAKE CITY — A house in a Salt Lake City neighborhood was destroyed in a fire Sunday morning.
The Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to the scene of the fire at 836 W. 400 North aroudn 7:50 a.m.

After fire crews confirmed that nobody was inside, they began a defensive firefighting effort to protect the surrounding houses.
No other structures were impacted, but the house itself is considered a total loss. There were no injuries.
Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
