LOGAN, Utah — The second time wasn't as sweet as the first for Utah State head football coach Gary Andersen.
USA Today reports Andersen has been fired as the Aggies head coach following the team's 34-9 loss to Nevada on Thursday, dropping Utah State's record to 0-3 on the season.
Under Andersen's first tenure in Logan, Utah State found success. In 2012, the Aggies finished 11-2; a record Andersen was able to turn into a job at Wisconsin.
However, Andersen's stay in the BIG 10 conference was short-lived as he moved on to Oregon State and then eventually back to Utah State last season.
