Outage leaves over 6,000 customers without power in downtown Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — A power outage has left over 6,000 customers around downtown Salt Lake City without power Friday evening. Power is estimated to be restored before midnight.

The cause of the power outage has not been confirmed at this time, it was first reported at 8:31 p.m.
