SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah — Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office confirmed the hiker who fell over 100 feet at Devils Castle Trail in the Alta area was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was 16 years old.
Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, Alta Marshals, and the Utah Department of Public Safety Aero Bureau responded. Upon arrival, first responders located a 16-year-old male who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
