SALT LAKE CITY — Whether they agree with it or not, teachers in Utah learned something new on World Teachers' Day.
According to a new study released Monday, Utah is the second-best state in the U.S. for teachers.
WalletHub used 25 key metrics for its study, including Quality of School System, Income Growth Potential, Starting Salary and Pensions.
Utah ranked first overall in Existence of Digital Learning Plan and third in Quality of School System.
But the news wasn't all good for Beehive State teachers, as Utah faired poorly in Pupil-Teacher Ratio (49) and Public School Spending per Student (50).
