The fire was estimated at 7.5 acres as of Sunday afternoon with 0 percent containment. However, state wildfire officials said crews are making "excellent" progress and there is no active fire growth. They hope to have 70 percent containment by the end of Sunday.
Two structures are threatened, but no evacuations have been issued.
An air tanker was used to drop fire retardant on the surrounding area, but officials said they had to pause flying because someone was using a personal drone in the area. They reminded the public that doing so in the area of a wildfire is illegal and can significantly impact firefighting efforts.
