TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — Four new wildfires were sparked within a few hours on Monday afternoon, all in the area west of the Tintic Mountains and east of Dugway in northern Utah.
The Tom Creek Fire currently burning 16 miles southwest of Vernon is estimated at approximately 50 acres. Officials said steady 15 miles per hour are fueling the fire's continual growth.
No structures are at risk and no evacuations have been ordered.
Air tankers and helicopters are droppinh retardant and water, with multiple engine crews on the ground.
