CARBON COUNTY, Utah — A new wildfire has broken out in Carbon County in the Range Creek area of the Book Cliffs. No known structures are believed to be threatened at this time.
The Range Valley Fire was reported to have burned 10 to 15 acres as of 6:14 p.m.
Officials report that the fire is making wind-driven runs, burning aspen and mixed conifer, and producing highly visible smoke from nearby Highway 191 between Green River and Price.
