SPRINGVILLE, Utah — Police ask the public to avoid the area of 400 South and 40 East in Springville after one person died following a car crash. The driver was believed to be under the influence.
At 6:39 p.m., officers responded to reports of a traffic incident involving a pedestrian. A truck had left the road at 400 South and 40 East, striking an adult male walking on the sidewalk.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The driver is suspect to have had alcohol in his system during the time of the incident. No one else was in the truck.
All eastbound traffic is closed in the area.
