SALT LAKE CITY — A two-alarm large fire burned at a recycling center in Salt Lake City on Monday afternoon along Redwood Road, in the same location as a similar fire earlier this year.
According to the Salt Lake City Fire Department, the first call of the fire at 390 S. Orange came just after 12:15 p.m., after flames were seen outside MTech. Upon arrival, crews found material on the west side of the building was on fire.
No one has been injured, and nearby Edison Elementary School was ordered to shelter in place due to smoke in the area.
The fire is located in the same place as a similar three-alarm fire in May.
The cause of the latest fire is still under investigation.
