MAGNA, Utah — A cyclist died after being hit by a car early Saturday morning near the Great Saltair.
According to Unified Police, a 43-year-old man was riding a bike on the frontage road to I-80 about a mile east of the Saltair.
Shortly before 6 a.m., the cyclist was hit by a car and died from his injuries.
UPD said the driver, age 28, is cooperating.
The crash is under investigation. However, police said they believe it was an accident, possibly due to the darkness on the road.
