COALVILLE, Utah — One person is dead after a wrong-way head-on collision on Interstate 80 near Coalville in Summit County Thursday.
Officials confirm a white passenger car was traveling westbound on the eastbound lanes of I-80 when, at mile marker 161 near Coalville, it made a head-on collision with a white cargo van.
The driver of the passenger car is dead, and the van driver was transported with a possible foot or ankle injury.
The cause of the wrong-way drive remains under investigation.
