SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah — A new brush fire that started on Tuesday in Salt Lake County on eastbound Interstate 80, is now under control.

The fire is just east of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office and is currently burning grass and shrubbery near the roadway. The size is estimated to have been 50 by 100 feet when crews arrived.
What caused the fire isn't currently known. Traffic slowdowns are expected as crews continue making sure there are no remaining hot spots.
