UTAH COUNTY, Utah — A new wildfire has been reported by Utah Fire Info and is burning in American Fork Canyon near Timpooneke Campground.
Currently, information on the size of the fire is limited. It was first reported at 11:09 p.m. on Thursday.
The Timpooneke Campground has been evacuated due to the wildfire. The Utah County Sheriff's Office also says they will be closing public access to the Tibble Fork Reservoir to bring in helicopters for water.
Utah Fire Info has estimated the size of the fire at 1 acre, but FOX 13 News crews on the ground report that the smoke has grown over the last few hours.
