MILLARD COUNTY, Utah — The Wild Horse Fire has grown to 6,590 acres with just 25% containment as more firefighters are responding to the area to fight the fire.
According to Utah Fire Info, the cause of the fire was determined to be caused by lightning after an investigator was able to go to the scene.
Firefighters say most of the fire's growth happened on the first day it burned, but the area it is in makes mapping and measuring it difficult. Fire managers say they are confident that the containment will grow in the coming days.
Fire managers are confident that they will be able to protect structures in the area following their work on Wednesday.
There are currently no evacuations.
