Wildfire in Millard County quickly grows to 400 acres due to wind

MILLARD COUNTY, Utah — A new wildfire broke out in central Utah on Wednesday and has already grown to 400 acres.

State wildfire officials said the "Wild Horse Fire" is burning southwest of the town of Leamington in Millard County.

As of 3:45 p.m., it was estimated at 400 acres and growing because of strong wind gusts.

Officials said it's burning through grass and sagebrush, and no structures are threatened at this time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
