WEST POINT, Utah — A man was shot and killed in Davis County Saturday evening, and a search for the suspect is underway.
The Davis County Sheriff's Office said they responded to gunshots reported near 2000 West and 300 North in West Point around 6:25 p.m.

At the scene, officers found the victim, 71-year-old James Witten, dead on the porch.
Police said witnesses reported a maroon Honda Civic with an orange license plate cover fleeing from the scene. They said the car headed north on 2000 West, then turned east on 300 North. They are still working to identify the suspect and advised the public that if they have information, they should not approach the vehicle or suspect but call 911.
