Police confirm 'active incident' in Syracuse, but no threat to public

CLEARFIELD, Utah — Police have responded to what they are calling an "active incident' in the Syracuse area, but said there is no threat to the public.

The Layton Police Department did not release details about the incident, although officials confirmed there is no active shooter, as many in the community had shared.

The incident remains active as of 4:45 p.m., and a large police presence is seen in the area of the 800 block of West Antelope Drive.
