AMERICAN FORK, Utah — A brush fire was sparked Tuesday afternoon just off of Interstate 15 in American Fork.
Starting around 3 p.m., Utah Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed smoke, smoldering and occasional flames spreading along the southbound on-ramp from Pioneer Crossing and Main Street.
Firefighting crews responded, and UDOT said the on-ramp was closed.
As of early Tuesday evening, the fire appeared to be out.
Utah Transit Authority's FrontRunner service between Lehi and Vineyard was impacted, and riders were transported via "bus bridge." It has since returned with trains going both ways.
FrontRunner# 5:48PM: We are very sorry for the delays and less than satisfactory service this afternoon. Currently the fire is contained and trains are going both ways.
