7 Utes selected in 2020 NFL draft

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Utes football team had seven players selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, and several undrafted free agents have signed with various teams.

Cornerback Jaylon Johnson was the first Ute drafted. He was selected Friday night in the second round by the Chicago Bears as the 50th overall pick in the draft.

Later that night in the third round, Utah safety Julian Blackmon was selected by the Indianapolis Colts for the 85th overall pick.

Ute running back Zack Moss was selected immediately after as the 86th pick to the Buffalo Bills.

Safety Terrell Burgess was selected in the third round as well. He was chosen by the Los Angeles Rams.

On Saturday morning in round four, defensive tackle Leki Fotu was selected by the Arizona Cardinals.

Later Saturday in round five, the Dallas Cowboys selected defensive end Bradlee Anae.

Then in round six, defensive tackle John Penisini was drafted by the Detroit Lions.
