LEHI, Utah — A large fire burned quickly through an apartment complex under construction in the Traverse Mountain Area of Lehi early Sunday.

Flames from the fire could be seen for miles as it burned near Point of the Mountain on North Windscape Drive along Interstate 15.
Lehi City officials said the fire destroyed a four-story structure and an adjacent one-story structure, both under construction.
According to witnesses, the building was not occupied, but a great deal of construction had already been completed.

The fire has been contained and no injuries were reported. It is no longer considered to be a threat to any nearby homes.
An investigation into what started the fire is now underway.

Due to the fire, people are being told to avoid the north end of Traverse Mountain, including Flight Park Road and nearby walking trails, until further notice.
