KEARNS, Utah — Secure protocols have been lifted at three schools in the Granite School District after a police incident Monday in the Kearns area.

Watch LIVE below as police respond to incident in West Valley:

Kearns Junior High School, West Kearns Elementary, and David Gourley Elementary were originally under the protocols, which were initiated out of an abundance of caution due to the incident.

The protocols were all lifted just before 12:30 p.m.

No information has been released by law enforcement about the incident, which has completely closed off the intersection at 4700 South and 4000 West in West Valley City. Several police vehicles are seen parked on 4700 South, including an ambulance.

Another scene with a large police presence is near a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse in Kearns.

Under secure protocols, all doors are locked, and no one is allowed in or out of the building, although schools are proceeding as normal inside. Parents are advised not to come to the school,
